With the cataloguing work in its final stages, we are looking forward to being able to share more of the stories which have emerged from this summer’s investigation with visitors to the church. To celebrate, we’ll be participating in the national Heritage Open Days for the 4th year running – this time with much more to talk about!
We’ll be running Hidden Histories tours and creative family activities in the church from Thursday 8th-Sunday 11th September – more information here.
The project conservators will be working in a temporary workshop generously hosted by Wells & Mendip Museum, which visitors will be able to get a sneak peek into with guided tours. More information here.
Sunday 11th will be a day of medieval music in the church, with our reredos-focussed activities complemented by singing from the Swan Singers and a replica Tudor organ. More information and times here.
For those rushing round to many Heritage Open Days events: don’t forget to stop for a refreshing cuppa at Cuthbert’s Kitchen!
